Mister Sparky electricians focus on safety, on every job. That includes the safety of residential and commercial property owners we serve, as well as our team.
We follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the U.S. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 70) code, along with all municipal codes.
The professionals at Mister Sparky are all licensed electricians trained to work in strict code compliance.
Why Choose Mister Sparky Electric?
What is in the NEC?
The NEC is a set of standards for local and national electrical code enforcement. It is adopted by most states, and covers installation, repair and replacement of electrical wiring and equipment.
Although the NEC is not a law, it sets policies and standards of professional behavior expected for electrical work. The NFPA 70 guide is updated each year.
In 47 out of 50 states, the NEC provides consistent standards for electrical safety. And municipalities in the remaining states have developed local codes with NEC guidelines.
Mister Sparky requires employee training in NEC best practices before performing any work for clients. Ongoing training classes are also required for each type of electrician’s license in Massachusetts.
Here are some examples from the NEC for houses, condos and apartments.
